ABOUT N.U.K.I.E.

 

Founded in May 2017, Neighborhoods Uniting Kids in Excellence (N.U.K.I.E ) Youth Community Outreach Organization. Was established to give youth an opportunity to be involved in athletic team activities, as well as performing arts activities with a focus on providing inner city youth with the best possible way of Bridging the Gap between the Community and Police. 

 

With principles of teaching sportsmanship, discipline and dedication that will follow them through life while inspiring and empowering at-risk youth through character building, innovative thinking and entrepreneurship.

Founded by visionary leader Evangelist Shanita Harrison-Foster who is and also a seventeen year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, to commemorate her cousin Glennell Fairley JR. (Nukie)., who was killed the summer of 2016 over a basketball game in the park. Glennell Fairley, was a Kenwood graduate with a promising future and also star participant in Chicago's  One Summer Plus program at Phalanx Family Services and had the chance to help former Mayor Rahm Emanuel engage more youth with tripling of opportunities that would allow them to believe in themselves in February 2015.

Evanglist Harrison- Foster plans to continue training and informing the youth of Chicago's inner city on how to bride the gap between community and police.
